Our mission
Working out your take-home pay shouldn't need an accountant. Irish Salary Calculator started as a simple tool to answer one question: "If I earn this much, what will actually land in my bank account?" It has since grown into a small set of calculators and plain-English guides for people in Ireland, the UK and the US.
What we offer
- Irish Salary Calculator: Take-home pay after PAYE, USC and PRSI for 2025 and 2026.
- US Salary Calculator: Net pay after federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare and state tax.
- UK Salary Calculator: Take-home pay after Income Tax, National Insurance and pension for 2026/27.
- Hourly to Salary Converter: Convert hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and annual pay in any currency.
- Guides that explain PAYE, USC, PRSI, tax credits and payslips with worked examples.
How we keep the calculators accurate
- Rates and thresholds come from official sources: Revenue.ie and the Department of Finance budget documents for Ireland, GOV.UK and HMRC for the UK, and the IRS and Social Security Administration for the US.
- We review the calculators after every national budget and at the start of each tax year, and show a "last reviewed" date on each page.
- Every calculator page explains its method and includes a worked example, so you can check the maths yourself.
